The Elevator

Dear Readers,

Finding your true purpose in life is one of the most fullfilling thing you can find. How blessed is the person who find himself in agreement with Revelation 4:11: that says that we are created for His pleasure. We are here to please Him and not so much people. When He is first place in our lives, worship takes on a whole different meaning and it will lift us to another dimension. My personal experience is that true worship trancends time and troubles.

I assume you have similar experience like mine when we pray and worship. During times of intercession we often are confronted with oceans filled with tears of sorrow and mountains filled with fears and anxieties. But when we pursue in prayer we can see through the eyes of the Spirit how the blood of Jesus is turning those tears into fountains of joy and we see how the hurricane of Gods Spirit is blowing those mountains apart.

During times of intense worship it is as if we hear a voice saying "come up hither" and suddenly we find our spirit rise to a higher level into the presence of the Almighty. Its the deep calling unto the deep and we are climbing the mountain of the Holy One.

On the top of that mountain we will find the cross were our spirit find rest and peace beyond description. Depression and frustration can not climb that mountain with us - they must leave. The same is true for unbelief and fear.

I call it "The Elevator". We can all enter this "elevator" and let it take us to the highest regions of Gods love. Let me give you a tip tho: When you push the button called "Law" it will take you to the basement, but when you push the button called "Grace" - it will take you to the highest level of Gods building.

Hoe zal de Emmanuel Gemeente over 20 jaar er uit zien?

Hello Folks,

Vandaag (5-10-08)hadden we weer een gezegende dienst en het werd opgenomen door Family 7. Wij bidden dat het vele mensen tot zegen zal zijn. We mogen als gemeente best wel een gepaste trotst hebben dat de Heer zoveel talenten in onze gemeente heeft geplaatst en dat wij die talenten ook aan het werk mogen zien. Het deed mij in het bijzonder deugd om Steven van Hensbergen achter de camera aan het werk te zien. Geweldig gewoonweg en natuurlijk ook de stoere boys achter de beamer enz enz.

Soms denk ik wel eens bij mezelf...hoe zal de Emmanuel Gemeente eruit zien over 20 jaar? Misschien is de Here al teruggekomen om Zijn gemeente naar huis te halen..of misschien ga ik dan met pensioen...wie weet..maar mocht dit niet zo zijn..hoe zal het dan eruit zien?...

Mijn droom en wens is in ieder geval dat wij de fakkel overdragen aan de volgende generatie. Laten wij in hen geloven en bemoedigen en inspireren om helemaal te gaan voor God en goed ook. Radikaal voor Jezus zijn betekent niet dat je als een godsdienstwaanzinnige gaat gedragen, wat het wel betekent is dat je kleur durft te bekennen. Daarom is mijn oproep aan onze jong en actief (niet lui) laat de wereld om je heen je niet intimideren man - durf kleur te bekennen- Ga voor God en ga met Hem!
