Dear Reader,
A dear pastor friend of mine by the name of Kingsly Lazarus from India was in our church to minister. We had a marvelous time and our church was really blessed by his ministry. Through the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ we got involved with a remarkable ministry. In the city of Mumbai pastor Kingsly has an opportunity to feed The "Untouchables". These Untouchables - are the so called Dalits - they have the lowest social status and are outside the "varna system". Through the generousity of our churchmembers we are able to feed some 500+ families. Just for 12 euro his ministry is able to feed one family for one month and we are so blessed to become a partner of this project.
My prayer is that these families will come to the saving knowlegde or our Lord Jesus and that many more ministries will get involved with this opportunity. From a particular hindu standpoint these people are cursed and are not worthy to receive any help. From Gods standpoint pure religion starts with helping the poor and the widows and orphans (James 1;27). So i encourage all my friends to at least pray for this endeavour and may the Lord open a great door for ministry among them.
The permission by the mayor of Mumbai is still in effect to help these people so we really need your prayers for a continuation of this ministry. Would you that for them?
Is that not the Spirit of Christ? Lets continue to reach out to the "untouchables" of this world and let them become touchable with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. No matter where they live, no matter who they are. Lets love people into the Kingdom of God. Thank you for reading this and I wish you all the best for 2010 and have a merry merry X mas.
